Hello :-)
If you're here it means you've already taken the first step to discovering how to improve your life.

One of the key things for your coaching journey is ensuring you have the right coach for your needs, so let me introduce myself.
My Story
Here’s a short story about me and how my life led me to where I am today.

After uni I spent a couple of years figuring out what I wanted to do. I knew I didn’t want an office job so I went to teach English in Costa Rica.

It was a great experience but not really me, so I returned to the UK. After a few months I found myself working in a software company managing websites. Not something I was overly familiar with but it seemed interesting and creative at the time.

I spent 5 years there before deciding to quit my job and go backpacking for a year. It was an amazing experience that also helped me gain a wider perspective on my day-to-day living. When I returened to the UK, however, I ended up back in digital marketing as I didn't know what else to do.
Fast forward 18 years in the corporate world, despite my initial reluctance to work in an office...

During my time I worked in a number of industries, from start-ups to coprorates. I worked as the only digital person in a company to managing my own team and I fully understand the pressures of an always on role. As well as the difficulties in balancing work / life within a professional environment.

To be honest I would probably still be in that world if I hadn’t been unexpectedly made redundant, twice! The first time led me to contracting and another way of working which aligned more with my values. Due to circumstances I moved back to a permanent role, only to find myself undergoing redundancy again.

So how did I get into coaching?

My passion for learning and working with people started with a night course in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). As perceptions and communications fascinated me, I completed the course to learn how to be a better communicator at work. I then discovered coaching for myself after receiving sessions via work.

I found myself implementing much of what I learnt from those coaching and NLP sessions with my team. Over time I started to gravitate from a pure manager to a mentor and coach. As I did so, I discovered how much positive energy it gave me to see my team grow and succeed. I continued with night courses and books which led me to learn more about myself. So when I was made redundant the second time, things actually started to fall into place.

Deep down I knew I wanted to change my life but had not yet been sure how. When I thought about what gave me positivity and energy my thoughts went back to helping others and my personal wellness.

I therefore started my ICF coaching certification, which led me to coaching professionally.

But it didn’t quite feel enough for me.

Forever on a quest I decided to undertake a Masters in Psychology to enable me to add a further element of support for my clients, along with a nutritional and wellness diploma. Because, for me, life is about constantly learning and adapting.

Working as a coach across a number of areas, I now strive to support clients who want to positively change their lives and achieve their ambitions.

Life is always full of surprises and unexpected turns.

Depending on how you view change it can become a time of exciting possibilities!
